I had a beautiful dress bought for my daughter’s christening which I knew I would never wear again, but was loathe to leave tucked away in my wardrobe. After a consultation with Susan, we agreed that she would transform it into a a shawl that I could wear to my cousin’s wedding. I also had a broken string of pearls belonging to my Grandmother which I wanted to incorporate into the design.
I absolutely love the shawl and am amazed at the transformation. It is the most personal item in my wardrobe which not only comes out at special occassions, but hangs like a piece of modern art on my bedroom wall when not being worn. It has now become an heirloom with a personal story I look forward to passing on to my daughter when she comes of age.
